




1. Billing and verification: Perform billing for laboratory, anatomopathological, and cytological tests. Verify medical orders, requisitions, authorizations, and registration data. Validate procedure codes (TUSS, AMB, CBHPM, or proprietary fee schedules). Verify amounts according to contracts and negotiated fee schedules. 2. Health insurance plans and operators: Submit electronic billing files to health insurance plans. Monitor protocols, deadlines, and specific rules of each operator. Track pending items, rejections, and claim denials. File appeals against claim denials, where applicable. 3. Financial control and reporting: Monitor billed production, amounts submitted, paid, and denied. Generate managerial reports on billing, production, and accounts receivable. Support the finance department in payment reconciliation. Assist in revenue forecasting. 4. Administrative and operational support: Maintain organization and archiving of physical and digital documents. Update health insurance plan registrations and price lists. Support reception and technical departments regarding billing-related queries. Guide staff on health insurance plan requirements. 5. Quality, compliance, and confidentiality: Comply with internal standards, SOPs, LGPD, and compliance policies. Ensure confidentiality of patient information and financial data. Act in accordance with internal and external audits. Suggest improvements to billing processes. Responsibilities: Reduce claim denial and rework rates. Ensure accurate billing for services rendered. Meet deadlines established by health insurance plans. Safeguard the integrity of information and documents. Job Requirements: Completed high school education (technical or higher education in administrative, accounting, or health-related fields preferred). Prior experience in medical-hospital or laboratory billing. Knowledge of procedure coding systems (TUSS, AMB, CBHPM). Basic computer and billing system proficiency.
