After completing their doctorates in France, pharmacists Carmen and Luiz Donaduzzi returned to Brazil, settling in Recife (PE), seeking opportunities in research within the field of biosciences. From that moment, establishing a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility seemed increasingly feasible, leading to the formation of a partnership with his brother Arno Donaduzzi *(in memoriam)* and brother\-in\-law Celso Prati. When the first warehouse was built and the first employees hired, a new phase began. The Generic Drugs Law of 1999 opened new opportunities for the pharmaceutical industry in Brazil. Prati\-Donaduzzi’s readiness to identify emerging opportunities and its financial planning focused on corporate growth enabled the company to take its first steps into this market. Today, the company manufactures Brazil’s most consumed generic medicine¹ and is the largest supplier of medicines to the Brazilian government. With an annual production capacity of 13 billion therapeutic doses, Prati\-Donaduzzi operates modern Research, Development and Innovation laboratories and maintains its own logistics system.
