Description

We are seeking a Mid-Level DBA to serve as the guardian of our data infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, security, and performance of our corporate databases. This role balances operational excellence (maintenance and monitoring) with strategic vision, proactively optimizing complex environments and providing critical support to development and engineering teams. ### **Responsibilities and Duties** * **Administration and Maintenance (Reactive):** Perform installation, configuration, updates, and backup/restore management (ensuring RPO and RTO), as well as incident troubleshooting and deployment support. * **Performance Optimization (Proactive):** Monitor database health, adjusting parameters, indexes, and execution plans to ensure optimal performance and scalability. * **Security and Governance:** Manage users, permissions, and security policies, ensuring data integrity and compliance with audits. * **Automation and Development:** Develop scripts (SQL, Shell, PowerShell, or Python) to automate routine tasks and optimize stored procedures. * **Architecture Improvement (Proactive):** Collaborate with developers and architects to propose improvements to data structures and database administration practices (On\-premise and Cloud). ### **Requirements and Qualifications** * Full proficiency in at least two of the following database engines: **SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL/MariaDB**. * Expertise in **Performance \& Tuning** (execution plan analysis and query optimization). * Solid knowledge of **High Availability** (Clustering, Replication, Always On, or RAC). * Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, or similar). * Analytical mindset with strong sense of responsibility and proactivity. #### **Preferred Qualifications:** * Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis). * Experience with cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or Google Cloud SQL). **MJV Benefits:** TotalPass\\Wellhub; ‍‍‍‍ Group life insurance; Meal/Voucher allowance; Health and dental plan \- Bradesco; Training initiatives: lectures, forums, knowledge exchanges, and discussions related to our business.
