Come be part of our team as an **Occupational Safety Engineer.** **Main Responsibilities:** * Manage occupational risks and support the update of the PGR (Risk Management Program), in compliance with NR-22. * Conduct risk assessments, field inspections, and accident and near-miss analyses, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented. * Analyze performance indicators (frequency and severity rates, deviations, near-misses) and propose data-driven action plans. * Contribute to safe engineering projects, supporting new mining fronts or expansions. * Develop and review operational and safety procedures applicable to underground activities (mining, ventilation, transportation, explosives, maintenance, etc.). * Plan, deliver, and monitor mandatory and technical safety training (NR-22, NR-33, NR-35, PPE usage, mine rescue and emergency response). * Supervise and interpret environmental and occupational monitoring (gases, dust, noise, heat, ventilation). * Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections (MTE, ANM, Fire Department), ensuring compliance with corrective actions. * Participate in the development and execution of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and evacuation and underground rescue drills. * Support the development of a behavioral safety culture, promoting participation and engagement from operational teams. * Promote awareness campaigns and safety culture programs, encouraging safe behavior and deviation reporting. * Support the development of safety leadership among supervisors and foremen, strengthening their role as multipliers. * Collaborate with Geotechnics, Ventilation, Mine Operations, Maintenance, Occupational Health, and Environment to ensure integration of safety practices. * Support investigations into geotechnical stability events and rockfalls from an occupational safety perspective. * Maintain updated safety performance indicators and propose continuous improvement plans. **Soft Skills:** * Be an ambassador of the Jaguar brand * Practice our core values * Lead by example and exert positive influence * Assertive communication and active listening * Teamwork and collaboration * Analytical capability and systemic thinking * Proactivity and ownership mindset * Resilience under pressure and focus on results * Orientation toward continuous improvement and innovation **Requirements** * Engineering degree * Specialization in Occupational Safety * Occupational Risk Management and PGR (NR-22 and NR-09) * Accident analysis and investigation (root cause analysis, 5 Whys, ICAM) * Reading and interpreting technical standards and labor and mining regulations * Knowledge of occupational hygiene (dust, gases, noise, heat) * Proficiency with safety management software and reporting tools (Power BI, advanced Excel, SAP-EHS, etc.) * Active CREA registration. **Desirable:** * Mastery of management systems (ISO 45001, SGSSO, PDCA) * Emergency management and ventilation in underground mining * Experience in Underground Mining or equivalent sectors (oil & gas, steel, energy) preferred * Experience with new safety monitoring technologies * Certifications in First Aid and Mine Rescue * Participation in safety culture or Safety Leadership programs. * **Location: Itabirito/MG**
