




Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant supports the Director/Coordinator in their responsibilities, serving as a positive example and motivating students while performing a wide range of complex administrative services. Handles confidential information and assists in problem resolution The Administrative Assistant position for Seminaries and Institutes of Religion aims to help the Institute Director/Coordinator fulfill their responsibilities of assisting youth in understanding the teachings and atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, qualifying\-them for temple attendance. The assistant must also serve as a positive example and motivate students. Prepares documents, reports, tables, and charts. Maintains and updates calendars. Schedules and/or coordinates meetings. Makes travel arrangements. Creates and/or maintains filing systems. Reviews and distributes e\-mails. Collects data and compiles information. Answers phones and responds to routine calls/inquiries. Prepares correspondence. Provides a broad range of administrative and support services to a workgroup, department/area, manager, or director. Decisions and tasks are moderately complex and often non-routine, requiring sound judgment, accuracy, and punctuality, while assisting in resolving complex issues and problems. May assist in preparing budgets and control activities. Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operational unit served. May serve as the administrative liaison with individuals both inside and outside the organization regarding administrative matters related to procurement, personnel, facilities, and operations. May conduct research, analyze information, and prepare recommendations. Resolves conventional problems, issues, or situations in accordance with established criteria, practices, or protocols. May assist in guiding and training lower-level staff. May handle confidential information. * Completed high school education or currently pursuing higher education. * Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with youth, leaders, and teachers. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * Knowledge of standard office procedures. * Availability to work evening shifts, including Saturdays.
