Mentor and support the technical development of team members About the Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on the development and evolution of high-criticality back-end solutions, with emphasis on scalability, resilience, security, and quality. The role requires technical autonomy, systemic thinking, and the ability to influence technical decisions and team growth. Responsibilities Act as the technical reference for the squad, supporting architecture, design, and implementation decisions. Design, develop, and evolve scalable, resilient, and secure services and APIs aligned with product or platform requirements. Lead and actively participate in code reviews, ensuring standards of quality, readability, performance, and maintainability. Define and implement testing strategies (unit, integration, and end-to-end), reinforcing a culture of continuous quality. Drive improvements in observability, monitoring, and resilience to support system reliability in production. Contribute to automation of pipelines, environments, and infrastructure-as-code. Collaborate with partner areas (Product, Design, Security, Data, and Operations) to enable sustainable, high-impact deliveries. Mentor and support the technical development of team members, promoting sound engineering practices. Exclusively operational roles or narrowly defined tasks without involvement in technical decision-making. Required Qualifications Solid experience in back-end development and distributed systems architecture. Practical experience with Java and/or Kotlin, plus at least one additional relevant language (e.g., Python or Go). Hands-on experience with AWS and its core back-end services (serverless, messaging, managed databases, caching). Strong practice in automated testing, code versioning, CI/CD, and code review. Experience with environment automation and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation). Strong technical communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Nice-to-Have (non-mandatory) Experience with observability and monitoring tools. Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems. Experience in high-availability environments or critical systems. Prior experience as a technical reference or mentor within engineering teams.
