Please pay close attention to the selection process schedule, which begins now in 2026, with all stages and decisions concluding by early 2027\. **Selection Process Schedule \- Beacon School 2027** **Starting in May** \- **Applications Open** **During this period, interested candidates must complete registration and undergo behavioral mapping.** **After Applications Open** We will begin candidate screening. Those who do not meet the basic requirements (please read the full job description for details) will be notified, while those who advance will be invited to the next stage. **First Weeks of August** **In-Person Interview Panels** \- Candidates will participate in a group session at Beacon School. Subsequently, candidates approved in this stage will complete an online technical questionnaire, to be used in the next stage. **September and October** **Individual Interviews** \- In this phase, candidates will have individual interviews with school coordinators. *Note*: This schedule is subject to change. We will keep all candidates informed of any changes throughout the process. **Responsibilities and Duties** ***With Parents and Students*** * Teach your subject to students using textbooks, materials, and technological resources, helping them understand foundational vocabulary for learning. * Address students individually during class time, clarifying doubts and guiding the class. * Directly mediate the learning of students facing greater challenges. * Apply literacy techniques in English and Portuguese. * Implement necessary disciplinary measures to support the teaching/learning process. * Establish positive, trusting relationships with students, teaching assistants, ADIs, and ADEs, guiding and fostering harmony and student well-being in the classroom. * Assess student performance on assignments and exercises by reviewing their notebooks. * Check each student’s agenda daily, reviewing notes, sending and responding to messages, and handling other relevant information. * Continuously assess each student’s development across all areas of the School Curriculum. * Accompany students during school-organized external activities, such as field trips, travel, and excursions. * Present the annual pedagogical program planned for your classes to parents during the “*open house*” event. * Conduct regular parent-teacher meetings or extraordinary meetings whenever necessary to prevent or resolve potential issues. ***PYP*** * Assess student performance on assignments and exercises by reviewing their notebooks. * Check each student’s agenda daily, reviewing notes, sending and responding to messages, and handling other relevant information. * Continuously assess each student’s development across all areas of the School Curriculum. * Accompany students during school-organized external activities, such as field trips, travel, and excursions. * Present the annual pedagogical program planned for your classes to parents during the “*open house*” event. * Conduct regular parent-teacher meetings or extraordinary meetings whenever necessary to prevent or resolve potential issues. **Requirements and Qualifications** **EDUCATION:** Completed Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy.
