Job Summary: Responsible for operating and monitoring water supply systems, ensuring continuity and quality of supply. Key Highlights: 1. Operate and monitor water supply systems. 2. Responsible for the operation, monitoring, and control of water supply systems during the day shift at the Salgueiro regional office. Ensures proper functioning of intake, treatment, storage, and distribution facilities, guaranteeing uninterrupted water supply and compliance with quality, safety, and operational efficiency standards. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Operate water supply units and systems (intake, WTP, pumping stations, reservoirs, and distribution networks), ensuring continuity and quality of supply. * Perform routine operational procedures including equipment start-up/shutdown, valve operations, and operational adjustments as per established procedures. * Monitor operational and quality parameters (e.g., turbidity, residual chlorine, pH, flow rates, water levels), recording readings and incidents. * Perform chemical dosing and preparation where applicable, observing safety, traceability, and operational standards. * Conduct routine inspections, identify anomalies, and notify maintenance/automation teams when necessary. * Support sample collection and interface with laboratory/quality teams to ensure adherence to sampling plans. * Record activities in reports, checklists, and systems, ensuring traceability and effective shift handover. * Comply with safety, environmental, and quality regulations, including use of PPE and work procedures. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; technical training in Sanitation, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields is desirable. * Experience operating WTPs, pumping stations, reservoirs, or water supply systems; experience in sanitation/utilities is preferred. * Basic knowledge of water treatment processes, pump and valve operation, and measurement instruments. * Attention to recordkeeping, operational discipline, and ability to respond effectively to contingencies. * Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team. * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or operational reporting systems. * Availability to work rotating shifts/day shifts and on-call duties, as applicable. * Valid Brazilian driver’s license (Category B); willingness to travel between operational units. * Willingness to work onsite in Salgueiro/PE. **Additional Information** **BENEFITS:** Medical assistance; Dental assistance; Life insurance; Transportation allowance; Meal voucher and/or food allowance; Profit-sharing program (PLR); **VITA Sertão** is the sanitation concessionaire established to drive the development of the Sertão region of Pernambuco.
