Use welding processes such as MIG, TIG, or shielded metal arc welding. Interpret technical drawings and specifications. Prepare surfaces for welding (cleaning and alignment of parts). Inspect the quality of completed welds. Perform finishing and corrections when necessary. Operate welding machines and equipment. Adhere to automotive industry quality standards. Comply with occupational safety regulations. Previous experience as a Metal Structure Assembler, Welding Operator, Welding Technician, or Pipe Welder may indicate suitability for some activities of this position. High school diploma required.
