Job Summary: A Cashier serves customers, receives payments, issues receipts, and closes the cash register, ensuring transaction accuracy and assisting customers. Key Highlights: 1. Assisting customers and keeping them updated on products and promotions ### **About the position:** As a Cashier, you will be responsible for serving customers, receiving payments, issuing receipts, and closing the register in your assigned work area. ### **Mandatory Requirements:** * High school education in progress; * Must be at least 18 years old. ### **Desirable Requirements:** * Prior experience as a cashier or in other customer service roles * Ability to handle money and perform basic mathematical calculations * Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic point-of-sale (POS) systems * Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers * Organizational skills and attention to detail * Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays ### **Responsibilities** * Register customer purchases at the POS terminal, ensuring accuracy of amounts * Maintain an organized and adequately stocked cash register with bills and coins for change * Process payments in cash, credit or debit cards, and other payment methods accepted by the establishment * Serve and assist customers courteously and efficiently regarding their inquiries and requests * Verify product validity and pricing during registration to ensure data integrity * Perform end-of-shift cash register closing, reconciling total sales and cash-on-hand balance * Assist with restocking shelves when necessary * Adhere to the establishment’s safety and hygiene policies and procedures * Stay\-up-to-date on supermarket products and promotions to better serve customers ### **Benefits** * Health insurance; * Dental insurance; * Attendance bonus or food basket; * Incentive awards for achieving targets; * Discounts with distance-learning institutions, pharmacies, and other partner organizations; * Shopping discounts; * Transportation allowance. * On-site meals ### **Work Schedule and Hours:** * Rotating schedule: 6 days on, 1 day off
