Our goal is to build software that delivers a unique shopping experience tailored to each customer’s preferences. The Amazon IES LATECH team is hiring software developers. About the role: A Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Amazon tackles business challenges through technology, owns their systems end-to-end, and influences the direction of our technology—impacting hundreds of millions of customers globally. At Amazon, an SDE designs flexible and scalable solutions and works on some of the most complex large-scale computing challenges, applying expertise in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. At Amazon, you’ll have the opportunity to work within a development team across one of our many rapidly growing organizations. About you: Are you seeking a career where you can build, deliver, and impress? Do you build features that reach millions of new customers worldwide? Do you analyze problems holistically, design feedback loops, and contribute to ecosystems? Amazon Brazil values Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) across all roles, and intentionally cultivates an internal environment that reflects the diversity of the markets we serve and the customers we support. In Brazil, we’ve established a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee composed of representatives from diverse departments and positions, recognizing that this agenda requires multiple perspectives and lived experiences. Our leadership is actively engaged and increasingly understands its role in promoting and practicing our Leadership Principles—with the goal of becoming “the best place to work in the world.” We recognize our responsibility and the need for change, and remain mindful that “Success and growth bring great responsibility.” Our affinity groups consist of volunteers from various business units and actively help shape DEI strategies. Additionally, they serve as ambassadors for this initiative and will support you from Day 1. Remember: “it’s always Day 1.” These groups are organized under the following pillars: BEN — Black Employee Network, Women@Amazon, Glamazon (LGBTQIA+), and People with Disabilities. About the team The IES LATECH team builds new features for Amazon.com (http://amazon.com/) across multiple countries and develops systems supporting Amazon’s operations.
