All applications must be submitted exclusively through our official channels. **Responsibilities and duties** **Responsibilities and duties** * Conduct complex environmental investigations, carrying out detailed assessments of areas suspected of contamination (soil, surface/groundwater, and air), defining scope, methodology, and corrective action plans. * Lead strategic environmental licensing processes, engaging with environmental agencies and other stakeholders to ensure operational continuity and mitigate legal risks. * Technically validate complex environmental impact studies and environmental management plans. * Develop, implement, and monitor environmental performance indicators and ESG targets, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. * Provide technical advisory support to site leadership on critical decisions based on environmental analyses, risk scenarios, and impact projections. * Represent the company in audits, inspections, environmental committees, and technical forums within the mining sector. * Conduct environmental risk assessments, including emergency situations (accidents, incidents, breaches), proposing rapid responses and mitigation plans. * Serve as a technical reference for the team and training initiatives, ensuring alignment with current environmental regulations and industry best practices. * Support and lead innovation and digitalization initiatives in environmental management (automated monitoring). * Monitor and audit compliance with environmental conditions, proposing adjustment plans whenever necessary. * Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure integrated and sustainable solutions. **Requirements and qualifications** **Prerequisites and qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related fields; * Postgraduate degree or MBA in areas such as Environmental Management, Sanitary Engineering, ESG, Environmental Licensing, or Project Management is desirable; * Active registration with CREA; * In-depth knowledge of environmental technical standards and regulations; * Solid experience in investigation and remediation of contaminated areas; * Familiarity with federal, state, and municipal legislation, as well as ESG trends applied to the mining sector; * Technical English fluency desired (reading and report writing); * Valid driver's license category B (availability for field visits); * Willingness to reside in the interior of Mato Grosso. **Additional information** **Our benefits:** * Competitive salary * Profit-sharing plan (PLR) * Private pension plan * Medical insurance * Dental care coverage * Life insurance * On-site meals (at operational sites) * Meal allowance (in offices) * Food allowance * Transportation assistance * Quality of life program * Gympass – Wellhub * Extended maternity and paternity leave (Citizen Company) * Club membership agreements—may vary by location * Eyewear purchase assistance for family members #### **We are Ero, one of Brazil’s leading producers of copper and gold.** **We are part of a global group headquartered in Canada with a strong presence in Brazil.
