Civil Engineer Position Description:
We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our project team. The professional will be responsible for monitoring and managing civil construction projects, ensuring quality and compliance with established deadlines.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and directly supervise field operational teams.
* Develop and monitor action plans, defining work fronts and production targets.
* Monitor team and equipment productivity, proposing operational improvements and adjustments.
* Ensure proper use of materials, supplies, and available resources.
* Support integration among planning, control, quality, and occupational safety.
* Conduct alignment meetings with foremen, supervisors, and subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance with deadlines, costs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
* Serve as the liaison between management, planning, and field operations, ensuring execution in accordance with designs and specifications.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with **active CREA registration**.
* Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in **highway infrastructure projects**.
* Technical portfolio documentation registered with CREA covering CBUQ, milling, asphalt micro-surfacing, and road maintenance services.
* Experience supervising heavy equipment and directing human and material resources in the field.
* Experience with asphalt plants.
* Leadership profile and people management skills.
* Proactivity in solving field problems.
* Strong communication skills for interaction with construction teams, subcontractors, and inspectors.
* Willingness to relocate/travel.
Technical Knowledge:
* Proficiency in construction methods applied to highway infrastructure.
* Ability to interpret designs, descriptive reports, and technical specifications.
* Knowledge of productivity control, team output rates, and equipment utilization.
* Familiarity with applicable technical standards (ABNT, DNIT, DER) for construction disciplines.
