Job Summary:
The Laboratory Assistant supports laboratory activities, prepares materials, and assists in organizing and cleaning the laboratory under supervision to ensure its smooth operation.

The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for supporting laboratory activities in compliance with procedures and technical standards. This includes preparing materials, equipment, and solutions, as well as assisting in laboratory organization and cleaning. The professional works under supervision, contributing to the laboratory’s efficient operation.
* Assist in developing and monitoring technological control tests for soils, concrete, and asphalt, performing analysis and quality control of construction materials both in the laboratory and on-site (in loco).
* Assist in conducting deflection testing using the Benkelman Beam.
Assist in conducting tests using the Marshall press.
* Perform laboratory cleaning and organization in accordance with biosafety standards.
* Support calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
* Record and document all procedures performed, ensuring traceability of analyses.
* Collaborate with the technical team in executing tests and experiments.
* Follow established technical standards and procedures to guarantee result quality.
* Maintain integrity of laboratory materials and equipment.
* Participate in training and capacity-building activities to enhance technical knowledge.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe and organized workplace.
* Report any irregularities or issues identified in the laboratory to the technical supervisor.
