Job Summary: A professional required to operate machinery and weld parts according to specifications, inspecting, preparing, and completing the work, as well as controlling material usage. Key Highlights: 1. Operate machinery and perform welding using MIG/MAG/TIG and/or Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). 2. Inspect, prepare, and finish welded parts with precision. 3. Control the usage of welding materials and assist in assembling parts. Possess basic knowledge to occasionally assist or operate machinery, perform welding using MIG/MAG/TIG and/or Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) to produce parts according to drawing specifications, production orders, and work instructions. Inspect and prepare parts for welding, verifying specifications and drawings, selecting the appropriate welding type to achieve standardized welds. Perform final finishing on welded parts by filing, grinding, or sanding worked areas according to drawings, production orders, and work instructions. Control the usage/consumption of welding materials, specify and request required materials. Possess basic knowledge to occasionally assist or operate low- to medium-complexity machinery, tools, or equipment within the department to assemble parts according to drawing specifications, production orders, and work instructions.
