Description

Job Summary: A technical professional responsible for inspecting safety, investigating accidents, monitoring hazards, and promoting occupational health and safety prevention. Key Highlights: 1. Conducts workplace safety inspections and investigations. 2. Monitors environmental hazards and develops prevention programs. 3. Participates in safety training and guidance. Main Responsibilities: Perform standardized tasks requiring application of basic techniques; Conduct safety inspections across various company areas, verifying location, validity, and condition of fire extinguishers, hydrant networks, floor conditions, ceilings, lighting fixtures, etc., and issuing reports to relevant supervisors for correction of identified irregularities or replacement of non-compliant equipment; Analyze and investigate workplace accidents, fire incidents and their consequences by visiting respective sites, consulting employees and/or witnesses, verifying proper use of safety equipment, etc., aiming to determine responsibilities and prevent future occurrences, as well as issuing reports; Assess illumination levels, noise, gas concentrations, and explosion risks, observing established limits according to locations and activities performed; Monitor testing of new personal protective equipment, request samples from suppliers, verify suitability for company employees, and maintain an updated safety materials catalog; Participate in planning, setup, and delivery of occupational safety courses and lectures, providing technical support and research sources, developing promotional materials or audiovisual resources, etc.; Collect data on activities and working conditions classified as unhealthy, hazardous, etc., verifying stock levels of flammable and toxic substances, contact with organic materials, etc.; Participate in the formation and implementation of Internal Accident Prevention Committees, providing information regarding their establishment, candidate nomination, dissemination, election, and inauguration; Guide and monitor the placement of occupational safety advisory materials, such as posters, signs, photographs, etc.; Maintain an updated workplace accident index registry and analyze its trends. Operate terminals and microcomputers, pressing command keys, entering or modifying data, generating printouts and reports, etc.; Develop and update the Environmental Risk Prevention Program (PPRA); Operate vehicles used for work-related activities efficiently and safely; Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and proper use of individual and collective protective equipment; Organize and maintain the department’s archive for document storage and ease of consultation; Commit to the areas of Quality Management, Environment, and Occupational Safety; Perform other related tasks as assigned by the organization, per direction from the immediate supervisor.
