**We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full\-Stack/WordPress Developer** to join our growing team. As our company continues to scale, we’re looking for someone who can own complex web development projects end\-to\-end while collaborating closely with our Creative, Operations, and Client teams. This role will focus primarily on WordPress development, with responsibilities spanning front\-end, back\-end, server\-side work, and API integrations. This is an opportunity to build and maintain high\-performing, scalable websites that support impactful branding, marketing, and digital experiences for clients across the real estate and financial industries. **What You’ll Be Doing:** * Stay up to date with WordPress features, functionality, and best practices to maintain leading\-edge agency and client websites * Develop custom WordPress websites, themes, and plugins * Establish, guide, and maintain website architecture and CMS performance * Design, develop, and integrate third\-party APIs and RESTful web services * Handle front\-end development for both custom and templated sites based on provided designs * Manage and maintain hosting and server\-level environments * Ensure performance optimization, security, and technical health of all web properties * Help formulate effective, responsive designs and translate them into functional themes and plugins * Maintain and grow a repository of reusable code modules to increase development efficiency * Collaborate closely with Designers on landing pages and websites to meet client goals * Collaborate with Operations team members to Identify and implement efficiencies across development workflows * Lead and conduct WordPress training sessions with clients as needed * Maintain ongoing compliance with ADA standards, WordPress core updates, PHP versioning, and other evolving industry requirements * Work with Accounting to ensure hosting, domain renewals, and related expenses are accurately billed to clients * Ensure timely delivery of all web projects **What We’re Looking For:** * 4\+ years of professional development experience * Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience * Agency Experience, 3 years preferred * Proven fluency in WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development * Strong experience working with APIs and RESTful web services * Expert\-level knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL * Proficiency with WordPress Gutenberg blocks, Classic Editor, and ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) * Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines * Strong problem\-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions * Self\-starter mentality with initiative and comfort working in a fast\-paced, evolving environment * Strong collaboration skills and experience working alongside Creative teams * Enthusiasm for learning, experimentation, and pushing technical boundaries * Openness to leveraging **AI tools** to improve development efficiency, code quality, and problem\-solving (e.g., debugging, refactoring, documentation, testing, or research support) * Interest in exploring how AI can support workflow automation, performance optimization, and development best practices * Ability to use AI thoughtfully and responsibly as an assistive tool—not a replacement for sound engineering judgment, security standards, or clean, maintainable code **Required Tools \& Skills:** * Advanced WordPress development expertise * Strong understanding of modern web development best practices and standards * Experience managing hosting environments and server\-side configurations * Proven ability to prioritize workloads and manage competing deadlines * Intermediate to expert knowledge of MySQL * Computer Skills: Google Suite, Apple iOS (preferred) * Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative spirit, a positive outlook, and a good sense of humor **Communication \& Availability Expectations:** * Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, provide context, and collaborate with teammates and clients * Full\-time availability during regular business hours (9:00am–5:00pm **Central Standard Time**) Some flexibility is available, as we are a remote\-first workplace with team members across the globe; however, candidates must be reliably reachable and responsive during core CST hours **Nice to Have:** * Experience in the real estate and/or financial industries * Familiarity with Accelo * Experience working in distributed or remote teams * Comfort presenting ideas and technical solutions internally and to clients **About Threshold:** Threshold is an award\-winning full\-service agency who historically served clients in the real estate industry by connecting buyers, renters, and investors with their future communities.
