Key responsibilities:* Supervise departmental operational activities, organizing the team and assigning responsibilities according to company-defined priorities, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently and within established deadlines. * Supervise the organization and maintenance of department areas—including climate-controlled chambers, refrigerated display cases, and other equipment—ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and good operational practices. * Monitor and oversee product quality at every stage—from receipt through to display in sales areas—ensuring freshness, proper organization, correct pricing, and adherence to company-established standards; verify that staff remove substandard or near-expiry items from sales areas to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize losses. * Distribute activities and tasks among team members, defining clear responsibilities and monitoring execution to ensure productivity and achievement of expected results. * Promote team development by organizing technical training on safe handling of perishable goods, product display techniques, and customer service, while providing continuous feedback to enhance performance and prepare employees for future opportunities. * Conduct daily checklists to ensure compliance with replenishment, pricing, and organization standards for perishable products, aligning with company quality standards and guidelines. * Monitor and implement loss-control measures, analyzing shrinkage reports, identifying recurring causes, and implementing solutions to reduce waste, as well as training staff on appropriate handling and storage practices. * Supervise the maintenance and proper use of department equipment, ensuring appropriate usage by staff and reporting maintenance or replacement needs to leadership. * Perform other related tasks as required or requested by the immediate supervisor. Mandatory requirements:* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree Desirable requirements (advantage):* Prior experience in this role; * Knowledge or experience in the sector is an advantage.
