Guidance and mentoring of new operators and toolmakers Responsibilities/Activities: * Perform high-complexity activities, identifying opportunities for process improvement within assigned areas; * Fulfill factory and/or engineering requirements for manufacturing and/or maintenance of cutting tools, fixtures, gauges, and components, based on work orders or as prioritized by the area leader; * Evaluate drawings and/or conditions of tools, dies, and fixtures, identifying consistency issues and uncertainties with the area leader, approving drawings and/or resolving tooling-related problems; * Procure required materials for constructing designed tooling, fixtures, and components according to drawing specifications from the raw material warehouse in the area, assisting in material cutting; * Construct and/or repair tools, fixtures, and components either at the operation site or on workbenches, per project drawings or reported defects, using prepared materials, within the shortest possible timeframe; * Monitor and/or test newly constructed tools and components together with the factory and/or designated toolroom, resolving adjustment issues, overseeing pilot batches, and releasing tooling for operational use; * Provide construction or adaptation of fixtures or support tools for prototype and/or die development, potentially guiding future fixture design for machining applications; * Arrange release of constructed tools, fixtures, and components by forwarding them to the metrology department or to the relevant application area, accompanied by corresponding documentation; * Install machining fixtures onto specific machines according to operational requirements, connecting hydraulic, pneumatic, and component cooling systems involved in the operation; * Guide new toolmakers in the construction/maintenance of cutting tools, components, and fixtures during machine part manufacturing and other processes; * Monitor and guide factory production operators regarding proper usage of constructed, maintained, and tested tooling, as needed, ensuring correct application; * Operate machining equipment for construction/maintenance of tool components, as required depending on operational needs and machine availability in the area; * Suggest improvements to machining tools and fixtures under construction or maintenance to enhance functionality, technical update, and performance through operational analysis and testing; * Assemble and disassemble firearms, conducting tests with revolvers and pistols, supporting the engineering testing laboratory (authorized specifically for this access).
