Job Summary: The Junior Laboratory Assistant supports laboratory activities by performing sample collection, preparation, and analysis, and maintaining laboratory organization under supervision. Works under supervision, contributing to smooth operations The Junior Laboratory Assistant is responsible for supporting laboratory activities in accordance with technical procedures and standards. Performs sample collection, preparation, and analysis, as well as maintains laboratory organization and cleanliness. Works under the supervision of a more experienced professional, contributing to the laboratory's smooth operation. * Assist in collecting biological and chemical samples following established procedures. * Prepare solutions and reagents for laboratory analyses under supervision. * Perform laboratory cleaning and organization, ensuring proper arrangement of materials and equipment. * Support the execution of laboratory tests and analyses, accurately recording obtained results. * Maintain inventory control of laboratory materials and supplies, requesting replenishment when necessary. * Follow safety and biosafety regulations during laboratory activities. * Participate in training and capacity-building sessions to enhance technical and practical knowledge. * Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure daily activities proceed smoothly. * Ensure maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, reporting any issues to the responsible person. * Perform other related duties as directed by the immediate supervisor.
