We are seeking an experienced and proactive **HR Generalist** to support the full employee lifecycle and to serve as the primary HR representative on\-site in Malta, with responsibility for local HR operations as well as franchise\-wide coordination across multiple functions.
The ideal candidate will be hands\-on, organised, and capable of balancing operational delivery with strategic alignment. This position requires an individual with deep knowledge of Malta labour law, a collaborative mindset, and strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with stakeholders across locations.
#### **YOUR MISSION**
##### **Local HR responsibilities in Malta:**
* Serve as the sole HR contact in Malta, managing all HR activities in alignment with local employment law.
* Manage the end\-to\-end employee lifecycle including contract preparation, onboarding, internal moves, offboarding, and exit interviews.
* Own and maintain employee records, documentation, and HRIS data (HiBob), including sick leave and vacation tracking.
* Support monthly payroll preparation and documentation in collaboration with finance.
* Draft and implement local HR policies and procedures in line with ICFR and group requirements.
* Provide employee support and guidance on workplace queries, wellbeing, and HR processes.
* Liaise with local authorities and legal representatives to ensure ongoing compliance with Maltese labour law.
* Represent Malta HR in cross\-functional discussions, ensuring local needs are communicated at the Franchise and Group levels.
##### **Franchise\-Level Responsibilities:**
* Act as a bridge between Malta and Hamburg HR practices, supporting consistency while adapting to local contexts.
* Support the onboarding, probation, and offboarding process across THI, including development of resources and documentation for managers and new hires.
* Coordinate recruitment support with the central Talent Acquisition Hub, conducting HR interviews and supporting cultural alignment during hiring.
* Provide HR onboarding support for international relocations, including settling\-in guidance and cross\-border coordination.
* Act as the Performance Review Process Owner, managing the annual appraisal cycle: scheduling, documentation, communication, and system coordination.
* Support the harmonisation of HR policies and procedures across both offices, contributing to a more integrated and scalable HR function.
#### **YOUR PROFILE**
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator role, preferably within international or fast\-paced environments.
* Strong knowledge of Maltese employment law; experience supporting HR in Germany is a plus.
* Proven ability to manage multiple HR workflows independently while supporting strategic objectives.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
* Organised and process\-oriented, with high attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
* Comfortable working across hybrid and distributed teams.
* First experience with HiBob (HRIS), Excel/Google Sheets, Google Workspace, and internal documentation systems.
* Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
