**Utilities Supervisor**
**Main Responsibilities:**
* Directly supervise operational teams in boiler, power generation, water treatment (WTP), wastewater treatment (WWTP), compressed air systems, biomass storage and receipt, as well as storage and dispatch of by-products such as DDG and WDG.
* Ensure adherence to operational routines and continuous, safe operation of utilities systems, focusing on reliability, quality, energy efficiency, and achievement of environmental targets.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators for areas under responsibility—including steam generation and consumption, treated water quality, thermal efficiency, fuel consumption, wastewater generation and treatment, electrical energy consumption, among others—and propose corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Conduct alignment meetings with the team, conveying technical instructions, operational priorities, and changes in production and/or maintenance plans.
* Ensure proper implementation of operational procedures, internal standards, environmental regulations, and occupational safety legislation, promoting a preventive and responsible culture.
* Oversee routine inspections, corrective and preventive maintenance, operational tests, and equipment/system startups, ensuring their availability and operation within established standards.
* Manage operational records, shift reports, work orders, and other technical documents in the computerized system, ensuring traceability, compliance, and availability for internal and/or external audits.
* Actively participate in meetings with leadership, maintenance, safety, production, and other departments to promote interdepartmental alignment and organizational communication flow.
* Support scheduled shutdowns, emergency maintenance, and plant operational routines—ensuring area cleanliness, goal attainment, and necessary technical support to teams.
* Directly manage the team under responsibility, including:
* Task assignment, shift scheduling, leave planning, and on-call duty arrangements;
* Implementation of disciplinary measures, and management of hiring and termination processes;
* Performance evaluation based on technical and behavioral criteria: delivery quality, deadline adherence, compliance with standards, interpersonal relationships, cross-departmental integration, proactivity, and professional development.
* Provide technical support to other company departments—as required and per leadership guidance—with activities compatible with one’s area of expertise, aiming to ensure operational continuity and interdepartmental cooperation.
* Ensure compliance with departmental work instructions and operational procedures, reviewing them regularly and updating them to keep them aligned with the team’s operational needs.
**Requirements:**
* Completed technical or higher education in a related field
* Experience in leadership roles within corn ethanol plants is a plus
* Proficiency in industrial utilities
* Solid technical knowledge of boilers, WTP, WWTP, power generation, compressed air, and utilities systems
* Strategic planning, indicator control, and budget management
* Leadership ability and experience managing multidisciplinary teams
