Job Summary: Responsible for performing Submerged Arc Welding activities in compliance with drawings, production orders, and specifications, ensuring process quality and performance. Supervision and guidance of new employees Responsible for performing Submerged Arc Welding activities in accordance with drawings, PO (Production Order), WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), and instructions from the immediate supervisor. * Prepare submerged arc welding equipment by adjusting parameters such as voltage, current, wire feed speed, and flux flow. * Verify conditions of parts to be welded, checking dimensions, cleanliness, alignment, and joint preparation. * Perform gouging using graphite to remove weld metal from parts. * Monitor and replenish granular flux during operation, ensuring correct application and reuse. * Read and interpret drawings and specifications relevant to welding activities. * Check and adjust the welding machine, verifying welding parameters for each WPS indicated in the PO. * Recommend, whenever possible, development of techniques aimed at improved performance, quality, and cost-efficiency of welding processes. * Be accountable for the quality, reliability, confidentiality, and performance of resources, services, and information generated by tasks under responsibility. * Accurately record progress of activities per Leadership instructions. * Ensure preservation of company assets by requesting maintenance, repair, and/or replacement whenever necessary. Also ensure organization and cleanliness of the work environment, always leaving the workstation ready for the next day or subsequent shift. * Know, apply, promote, and suggest safety-at-work and environmental preservation rules and practices; participate in company-sponsored programs to eliminate situations that may pose occupational accident risks or environmental degradation. * Participate in Daily Safety Dialogues (DDS) at the start of the shift and/or training related to one's activity, becoming fully aware of occupational risk aspects and conditions, proper use of PPE and collective protective equipment (CPE), and taking note of scheduled tasks for the day and/or week, aiming to prevent accidents and unsafe conditions. * Guide new employees on area-specific activities, supervising them and facilitating their understanding of correct operation of sector equipment and/or tools. * Stay updated on new procedures and processes relevant to one's field of activity. * Adhere to the company's management system guidelines, executing activities in accordance with operational procedures. Continuously observe operational procedures and work instructions for one's area, seeking Leadership support whenever necessary for proper understanding. When identifying improvement opportunities in one's activities, discuss them with Leadership to explore better ways of performing work, thereby achieving desired results with quality and productivity. * Inspect material quality, verifying its suitability for use before initiating production, reporting any irregularities found to the immediate Leader. * Operate gantry or semi-gantry systems only if trained and certified per applicable standards and internal procedures.
