Come be part of our team as a **DAM OPERATOR – MAINTENANCE**. **Job Responsibilities:** * Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspection. * Perform daily inspection of the dam area, its surroundings, and tailings piles, per the operational checklist. * Verify operation of pumps, pipelines, and drainage systems. * Read monitoring instruments—including rain gauges, evaporation pans, piezometers—and measure water levels in reservoirs and drains. * Monitor pipelines associated with the processing plant, backfill, dam, and tailings piles, checking for potential leaks or ruptures. * Monitor return of process water to the processing plant. * Inspect monitoring wells and piezometers in case of variations or suspected leakage at the dam or tailings piles, and immediately notify the supervisor. * Perform minor maintenance tasks on dams and tailings piles, such as cleaning channels and vegetation control. * Carry out vegetation control and planting of seedlings in environmental rehabilitation areas, as required by law. * Clear access routes to hydrological monitoring points by removing vegetation using appropriate tools. * Observe and strictly comply with occupational health, safety, and environmental protection regulations. * Perform cleaning, weeding, organizing, fencing, and other manual tasks. * Prevent clogging in gutters and boxes through preventive cleaning. * Implement corrective actions to address field deviations—e.g., drainage corrections, construction of retaining structures, riprap placement, fencing, gabion installation, and cleaning. * Procure necessary resources to implement corrective measures—including raising RM tickets, acquiring materials, and transferring materials between units. Receive training and guidance for performing low-complexity hydraulic tasks. Supervise third-party activities, such as machine operation and execution of containment and drainage works. Collect daily water samples for hydrological monitoring.
