Job Summary: An Inventory Manager plans, organizes, and supervises product storage, receipt, and dispatch, optimizing inventory levels and leading the team to ensure smooth merchandise flow. Interacts with commercial, production, and procurement departments to align demands An Inventory Manager’s responsibilities include planning and organizing product storage, supervising goods receipt and verification, controlling incoming and outgoing items, managing inventories, and leading the warehouse team. They are also responsible for optimizing inventory levels, reducing costs and losses, and collaborating with other departments—such as commercial and production—to ensure efficient merchandise flow. Key Responsibilities * **Planning and organization:** Defines objectives, sets targets, delegates tasks to the team, and oversees the physical layout of the storage area. * **Inventory control:** Supervises inbound and outbound movements, performs system entries, and ensures daily or periodic inventory control. * **Team management:** Leads, coordinates, and supervises the activities of the inventory team. * **Receipt and verification:** Inspects received goods to ensure compliance with invoices and proper labeling and storage. * **Optimization and analysis:** Analyzes and controls waste and damages, evaluates inventory performance, and proposes process improvements to optimize operations and reduce costs. * **Cross-departmental interface:** Acts as the liaison between commercial, production, and procurement departments to align demand and material flow. * **Technology and reporting:** Uses management systems (e.g., ERPs) to maintain accurate records and generate inventory reports and analyses.
