Participation in the pharmacy's continuous improvement **Pharmacy Intern \- Santa Lucia or Concórdia Unit** **Salary:** R$1\.000,00 **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM **Requirements:** Incomplete undergraduate degree in Pharmacy; Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, computer skills (Word/Excel/typing), strong written communication, and good interpersonal skills. Responsibilities and Duties Monitor and execute administrative and clinical pharmacy processes jointly with the pharmacist, aiming to implement continuous improvement. Be available to serve all institutional pharmacies and CAF units, as determined by management; Review pharmacy reporting notebooks and report any incidents to the pharmacy supervisor; Verify whether controlled medication counts have been performed; Confirm whether refrigerator temperature, ambient temperature, and humidity were measured during night shifts and at the start of day shifts, and verify whether readings fall within normal ranges; Check whether the decarpack is full and request replacement by the assigned staff member; Verify whether cleaning of the refrigerator, shelves, and bins has been performed according to the schedule; Check whether any medication dispensing error forms have been completed and store them in the designated folder; Verify whether collective medication bottles are properly labeled with opening date and expiration date; discard expired medications; Conduct prescription audits; Monitor patients receiving non-standard medications, restricted-use medications, Tamiflu, or medications brought from home; notify pharmacy supervision when necessary; Assist pharmacists with any requested tasks; Perform controlled medication counts for all medication carts upon request by pharmacists; Verify expiration dates and quantities for Parada carts; Deliver announcements to clinical departments; Assist the pharmacist in compiling dispensing error and tape audit indicators; Identify any materials/medications requiring write-off in the pharmacy and forward to the supervisor for write-off processing; Verify whether non-standard medications have been fully consumed in the pharmacy and inform the pharmacy supervisor to return remaining stock to the central warehouse; Collaborate with supervision to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Distribute attendance sheets and pay slips and collect signatures; Verify cart contents (expiration dates and quantities) across Clinical Units; Assist the supervisor in exchanging expiring materials/medications between satellite units, carts, other units, or hospitals; Remove expired materials/medications that cannot be reallocated and forward to the supervisor for write-off; Verify whether the refrigerator temperature monitoring form has been replaced on the last business day of the month; Randomly select and count six items across pharmacies (two controlled substances, two medications, two materials) to confirm accuracy; Perform inventory counting and reconciliation for materials and medications; Verify kit contents; Identify bins requiring labeling and produce appropriate labels; Conduct staff training sessions; Leave notes in the daily pharmacy reporting notebook; Deliver documents to HR, Payroll, SESMT, or Executive Management; Reassign staff among units as needed to perform required activities; Substitute for pharmacy staff members as needed; Cover coffee breaks, lunch hours, or staff absences in other pharmacies, if necessary; Perform bed-side rounds, review prescriptions, and carry out necessary interventions; Complete electronic patient chart updates; Email VISA-related notices to pharmacists, SCIH, Executive Management, Quality Department, physicians, nursing staff, and central warehouse (for both units); print copies and file them in both units’ folders; Verify whether any Non-Standard Medication Requests await Executive Management approval; Verify whether any Non-Standard Medications are pending delivery by suppliers; Verify whether any Non-Standard Medications are nearing treatment completion for patients and notify physicians accordingly; Verify whether any Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) require submission or response; Verify whether any Adverse Events require submission or response; Verify whether any notes must be left in pharmacy shift handover notebooks; Register alerts in the system (e.g., allergies); Update the patient monitoring spreadsheet; Register drug interactions in the system; Compile Clinical Pharmacy indicators; Participate in clinical case discussions with the clinical pharmacist and other pharmacists; Register minimum and maximum drug dosages in the system; Present the Clinical Pharmacy indicator on the 10th of each month; Dispense blue and yellow prescriptions; Monitor medications brought from home by patients; Provide discharge counseling; All activities will be conducted under appropriate supervision; Observe safety regulations, environmental controls, internal policies, and applicable legislation relevant to assigned duties; Participate in and suggest improvements to quality tools, verification procedures, SOP applicability, Risk Management, and Process Mapping.
