Join our story and lead digital transformation with us! **Responsibilities and Duties** **About the Role and Mission** This role will be part of the TechOps team, focused on databases, and will be responsible for ensuring performance, availability, and reliability of production and non-production data environments. The role demands work in critical, high-complexity scenarios—including performance analysis, incident response, data architecture definition, and continuous platform evolution. We seek a profile that goes beyond operations: someone who anticipates problems, proposes structural improvements, and leads optimization and scaling initiatives. **Day-to-day expectations:** * Analyze and optimize PostgreSQL database performance (query tuning, indexing, execution plans) * Resolve critical incidents (P1/P2) with focus on root cause analysis and definitive mitigation * Support engineering teams in adopting best practices for data access and modeling * Actively participate in war rooms and technical crisis management * Propose and implement structural improvements for performance, scalability, and reliability * Automate operational routines and reduce manual effort (scripts, jobs, observability) * Plan and execute database changes safely and predictably * Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, and Quality **Requirements and Qualifications** **What We Seek** **Mandatory** * Solid experience (5+ years) as a DBA, with strong focus on PostgreSQL * Practical experience in advanced performance tuning (plan analysis, locks, IO, vacuum, indexing) * Experience troubleshooting critical environments and identifying root causes * Knowledge of PostgreSQL internals (MVCC, autovacuum, WAL, replication) * Experience with high availability and replication * Experience with observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, Zabbix, etc.) * Experience managing incidents **Desirable** * Experience with other RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle) * Knowledge of automation * Knowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis/ElastiCache) * Experience with IaC (Terraform) * Azure certification * Advanced English **Expected Differentiator (TechOps level)** * Ability to operate under pressure in critical environments * Proactive stance in identifying risks and bottlenecks * Systems thinking (understanding database impact on applications and end-user experience) * Ability to influence engineering teams on best practices **Additional Information** **Benefits** Meal Voucher / Food Voucher Health Insurance Dental Insurance Transportation Voucher / Parking Discount Annual Bonus Pharmacy Discount Program Gympass Life Insurance **Who Are We?** Sigga is the market leader and global provider of software applications transforming maintenance operations for asset-intensive enterprises running SAP.
