Position: Painter and Sheet Metal Worker Intermediate Department: Workshop / Fleet Maintenance Job Summary: Perform sheet metal and painting services on heavy vehicles, trailers, cargo boxes, and equipment, carrying out structural repairs, surface preparation, and paint application, ensuring quality standards and visual preservation of the fleet. Operate with intermediate technical autonomy, following safety, quality, and environmental regulations. Main Responsibilities: ➡ Sheet Metal Work: Disassemble and reassemble parts, sheets, and metallic or fiberglass components; Repair dented, cracked, or damaged sections on cabins, cargo boxes, fenders, bumpers, and side panels; Perform cutting, welding, dent removal, alignment, and replacement of parts; Prepare surfaces for painting, applying filler and primer when necessary; Assess extent of damage and recommend best repair method (repair or replacement). ➡ Painting: Prepare surfaces (sanding, cleaning, applying filler and primer); Mix and apply paints according to company color and finish standards; Perform touch\-ups and repaints on vehicles and equipment; Operate spray guns and painting equipment; Conduct visual inspections and thickness tests to ensure paint quality; Keep spray booths, guns, and tools clean and in good condition. ➡ Other Responsibilities: Strictly comply with safety regulations and use of PPE; Maintain workplace cleanliness and proper waste disposal; Support and guide assistants when necessary; Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors. **Requirements:** Desired courses: Automotive/industrial painting and automotive sheet metal work; Technical Knowledge: Sheet metal techniques, cutting, welding, and alignment; Types of paints, thinners, and catalysts; Adjustment and use of paint spray guns; Safety and environmental protection regulations; Ability to read work orders.
