Job Summary: Lead the mineral processing discipline across projects, providing technical support for M&A activities and ensuring product quality and operational sustainability. Key Highlights: 1. In 2020, Cedro Mineração acquired Extrativa Mineral, the former operator of the Gama Mine, thereby becoming the new operator.* * Committed to being at the forefront of mining, in 2020 the former tailings dam at the Gama Mine was officially decommissioned by ANM. We invested in filtering 100% of generated tailings followed by dry stacking. Additionally, we promote reuse of approximately 85% of water used in the production process, intensify environmental management, occupational health and safety, and invest in multiple social initiatives. Subsequently, in 2022, we launched a new operation in the city of Mariana.* * To date, our operations have generated over 1\.000 direct jobs, plus another 1\.500 indirect jobs—including transporters of our products and service providers focused on personal and professional development, health, and safety. Learn about our mission, vision, and values!* * We seek individuals who believe in the future of mining and are ready to make a difference at Cedro.* * Our goal is to conduct a streamlined selection process and identify the right candidates—those who embrace Cedro’s culture and encourage residents of the municipalities where we operate to join us.* **Responsibilities and Duties** * Lead the mineral processing discipline for all Cedro Participações projects—from defining metallurgical tests and process routes through to commissioning / operational performance guarantee * Provide technical support for all M\&A processes (mergers, acquisitions, and mining negotiations), acting as the technical focal point to ensure execution of the company’s strategy aligned with mineral processing technical requirements * Responsible for developing and maintaining the Master Production Plan for Cedro Mineração’s assets, with emphasis on product quality per project * Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for projects, identifying potential opportunities related to mineral engineering * Prepare all Process Guarantee Records (RG) for mineral processing to define assumptions for engineering development during conceptual, basic, and detailed phases * Review, approve, or reject mineral processing discipline documents during engineering development across conceptual, basic, and detailed phases * Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure execution of technical services * Plan, analyze, and implement actions within projects and operations to contribute to cost reduction, schedule optimization, and quality improvement * Ability to influence, communicate, and negotiate effectively with internal stakeholders to establish procedures and activity timelines, optimizing the investment portfolio * Monitor physical and financial indicators for projects under study, delivering analyses, reports, and presentations for Capex and Opex tracking * Develop, approve, and execute engineering projects—including preparation of specifications, drawings, execution methodologies, and required resources—to enable procurement of materials and contracting of services related to implementation and operations * Develop plans for Ore and Waste Technological Characterization, including definition of sample aliquots for laboratory submission * Monitor and control actions defined for engineering studies, field activities, and project implementation * Review layouts, oversee environmental management processes, and comply with mining regulations * Ensure alignment between short-term planning and long-term planning (detailing and breakdown) at the level of plans and projects * Technical analysis of Engineering Projects; specific studies supporting environmental licensing of projects; technical feasibility studies; issuance of technical opinions * Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for projects, identifying potential opportunities **Requirements and Qualifications** * Development of technical specifications for procurement of materials and services in Mining Projects * Proficiency in Microsoft Office * Knowledge of Microsoft Project * Technical analysis of Engineering Projects; technical feasibility studies; issuance of technical opinions * Project activity planning—with focus on Environmental Licensing, Engineering, and Implementation * Contract execution oversight * Familiarity with 2D and 3D project and visualization software such as AutoCAD and Navisworks * Advanced MS Office skills * Application of Project Management tools in daily activities (software and controls) * Development and coordination of multidisciplinary engineering topics—including Environmental, Geotechnical, and other interfaces inherent to mining activities * Proficiency in Microsoft Project * Knowledge of PMBOK best practices * Intermediate English—writing, speaking, and comprehension * Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI * Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management, plus proven professional experience as a Project Engineer with emphasis on Mineral Processing **Additional Information** *Cedro Mineração is a company specialized in the extraction, processing, and marketing of iron ore, the raw material sustaining production across various sectors of the national and global economy.
