**Summary:**
Responsible for guiding and supervising healthcare product processing — Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) — while observing operational and systemic procedures, ensuring process compliance as well as quality and safety of related operations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* \- Guide and supervise the nursing team, defining processes, operations, and responsibilities to achieve greater service efficiency;
* \- Monitor workflow execution, observing and advising on proper task performance to improve service quality;
* \- Conduct cleaning tests on randomly selected surgical instruments after the cleaning process, ensuring process compliance;
* \- Notify the equipment maintenance department as required by operational needs;
* \- Address requests by analyzing needs and setting priorities according to specific procedures;
* \- Test products supplied by the procurement department and validate them based on CSSD quality requirements and needs;
* \- Read and sign the daily nursing report for the department, identifying complications and taking action to propose solutions and/or decisions;
* \- Analyze sterilization assurance test results and act accordingly to ensure process compliance;
* \- Monitor surgical kits, inspecting and validating functionality of each instrument as well as verifying quantities required for surgical demand;
* \- Maintain inventory control of supplies to ensure optimal departmental operation;
* \- Support the immediate supervisor on matters inherent to the area of responsibility, proposing and discussing solutions to incidents to assist in defining actions to be adopted and supporting continuous improvement of departmental processes;
* \- Ensure process compliance and administrative controls exercised within the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) to guarantee quality and safety during work execution;
* \- Participate in developing, approving, and implementing continuing education and refresher programs for Nursing Technicians through periodic meetings, lectures, and technical discussions, aiming to enhance and pursue quality in work;
* \- Participate in developing and updating the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Manual, aligned with technical, scientific, administrative, Hospital Infection Control (SCIH), and Occupational Health and Safety (SESMT) guidelines applicable to the department;
* \- Be responsible for developing and critically analyzing quality indicators relevant to the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD);
* \- Participate in committees involving the department;
* \- Ensure compliance with legislation and internal regulations regarding occupational safety, monitoring activity execution according to pre-established quality standards, and safeguarding the institution’s physical assets through staff conduct;
* \- Perform other related tasks of equivalent difficulty level upon request from the immediate supervisor.
**Requirements:**
* Completed undergraduate degree in Nursing;
* Prior experience in this role and in supervision;
* Specialization in Central Sterile Supply and Sterilization is desirable;
* Active COREN registration.
**Work Location and Schedule:**
* Location: Bairro da Saudade — Belo Horizonte/MG.
* 180 hours per month — Monday to Saturday (2:00 PM to 8:00 PM)
