**Nursing Assistant – Pediatric ICU**
Hospital MaterDei – Barro Preto
Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts on a 12x36 rotation (day shift)
**Main Responsibilities**
* Assist patients in the Neonatal ICU by delivering basic nursing care in accordance with institutional protocols and current legislation.
* Prepare patient bays at the start of each shift, ensuring availability of supplies, equipment, and appropriate conditions for patient care.
* Assist with patient hygiene and comfort, including bathing, changing clothes and diapers, measuring vital signs, and supporting specimen collection, respecting the scope of practice for this role.
* Accompany patients during procedures and internal transfers, immediately reporting any complications to the nursing or medical team.
* Perform basic nursing documentation to support continuity of care and patient safety.
* Support the team in implementing the basic care plan, following clinical protocols and safety standards.
* Carry out administrative tasks within the unit to contribute to the organization of clinical processes.
* Clean and disinfect beds, furniture, and equipment after patient discharge or transfer, per infection prevention and control protocols.
* Maintain and safeguard unit equipment, supplies, and assets, promptly reporting maintenance needs or supply replenishment requirements.
* Participate in training sessions, professional development activities, and Corporate Education initiatives to remain current on clinical practices and institutional policies.
* Act humanely, ethically, and collaboratively to enhance care quality and patient safety.
**Requirements**
* Completed **Nursing Assistant** course.
* Active registration with the **COREN**.
* Prior hospital experience is desirable, preferably in Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, or Inpatient Units.
* Knowledge of patient safety standards and hospital infection control will be considered an advantage.

Compensation: R$1\.943,00 per month
