The Program: Lasting 2 (two) years and exclusively for undergraduate students, our internship program is designed for those seeking growth and wishing to evolve with us. We seek individuals with the energy to move the world!
Under the supervision of the responsible engineer or designer, the intern will perform mechanical engineering tasks for low- and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies of new products—from concept, manufacturing, factory testing, to field implementation—in compliance with applicable technical standards (national and international), as well as contractual requirements established by customers across various sectors.

**Responsibilities**
---------------------
* Support mechanical engineering development for low- and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies.
* Perform geometric, dynamic, and thermodynamic calculations under supervision.
* Create 2D and 3D drawings using software such as Pro\-e and SolidWorks.
* Assemble and register bills of materials, specifying components and potential suppliers.
* Support technical problem resolution for new products during development, manufacturing, or field deployment.
* Contribute to standardization and improvement of engineering process efficiency.
* Provide technical support to the procurement team in scope analysis and supplier qualification.
* Stay updated on industry standards, procedures, processes, and regulations.
* Monitor engineering metrics such as OTD, FTY, and erosion.
* Strictly comply with GE’s intellectual property policy.
**Qualifications**
* Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program, with at least two years remaining until graduation;
* Availability to intern in a hybrid model during business hours, Monday through Friday, 6 hours per day, including a 1-hour break;
* Proficiency in 2D drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD);
* Intermediate Excel skills;
* Intermediate English proficiency.
**Desired Qualifications**

* Technical education in mechanics, electrotechnics, electronics, mechatronics, electroelectronics, or related fields;
* Familiarity with 3D drafting tools (e.g., SolidWorks or Pro\-E);
* Advanced English proficiency;
* Experience with metallurgical processes;
* Strong communication and teamwork skills;
* Sense of responsibility;
* Proactivity and active interest.
