It operates 7 modern blast furnaces that, in addition to producing thousands of tons of pig iron per month, also release gases reused for power generation at a thermoelectric plant located within its industrial park. With strategic management, Metalsider also supplies ultra-high-quality cast parts, primarily for the automotive sector. We are hiring a **UTG Operator**, responsible for operating UTG processes to ensure correct and safe operations. Join our team! **Responsibilities and Duties** * Assist in cleaning and organizing the entire area as needed; * Barrel the casting spout and the wheel after each process. * Report abnormalities in materials and equipment to the supervisor; * Inspect the condition of the skimmer ("praying mantis") and its tooling; * Replace the mold when necessary; * Replace internal and external small wheels ("camelinhos") when necessary; * Repair the casting spout with refractory concrete; * Keep molds free of water; * Keep the granular scrap bucket filled with water; * Maintain the area clean and organized; * Keep the casting wheel tires cooled and check their inflation pressure; * Measure pig iron temperature; * Supply graphite to sector storage areas; * Clean, repair, and replace injection lances; * Remove slag formed in the ladle; * Respect pig iron level in buckets; * Remove pig iron chunks adhered to molds; * Deliver the pig iron classification ticket to the Bruck truck driver; * Clean ladle rims and nozzles after casting; * Barrel ladle rims and nozzles after casting; * Repair ladle nozzles with refractory concrete; * Clean internal and external rings of the casting wheel; * Clean the interior of the drum; * Clean the treatment station; * Clean the ladle car; * Remove and break generated scrap, directing it to the respective bucket; * Remove pig iron buckets; * Remove scrap buckets; * Remove bag filter dust bucket; * Collect slag samples after casting, send them to the laboratory, and deposit them in the bucket; * Remove accumulated debris from the ladle during and after casting, depositing it in the bucket; * Check the condition of the ladle running spout. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Literate. **Additional Information** **Benefits:** * Transportation allowance; * Food basket; * Medical assistance; * Dental assistance; * Partnerships with educational institutions; * Stationery; * Pharmacy; * Sesi Club; * Gyms; * Profit-sharing plan (PLR). **Metalsider** is committed to being a responsible, ethical, and fair employer.
