Job Summary: Responsible for cost control and financial management of geotechnical and industrial engineering projects, monitoring budgets, analyzing variances, and preparing forecasts. Resource optimization and financial risk mitigation Job Description Perform cost control and financial management for geotechnical and industrial engineering projects, ensuring economic performance monitoring of projects through budget tracking, variance analysis, forecast preparation, and indicator control. Support the Project Controls coordination team in generating strategic information for decision-making, contributing to improved cost predictability, financial risk mitigation, resource optimization, and achievement of project objectives. Main Responsibilities * Report to the Planning and Projects Coordinator or Manager. * Develop, consolidate, and monitor project budgets, tracking planned costs, actual costs, and completion forecasts (Forecast). * Develop and update cost management reports, performance indicators (KPIs), and variance analyses, proposing corrective actions when necessary. * Conduct financial control of projects, including commitment tracking, measurements, cost allocations, provisions, and cash flow. * Perform variance analysis among budget, actuals, and forecast, identifying risks and opportunities for management. * Support cost estimation development at different project phases. * Participate in structuring and maintaining the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), ensuring information traceability. * Support contractual management by monitoring contract balances, measurements, addenda, claims, and economic rebalancing, where applicable. * Develop dashboards and management reports using tools such as Power BI and Excel to support decision-making. * Integrate cost, physical schedule, and project progress data to produce performance analyses applying Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts, where applicable. * Participate in follow-up meetings with clients and multidisciplinary teams, presenting cost analyses and recommendations. * Ensure compliance of financial and cost information with internal company procedures and contractual requirements. * Support audit processes, internal controls, and monthly project closings. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. * Advanced proficiency in Excel. * Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar). * Experience in cost control, planning, or Project Controls within engineering, mining, or infrastructure projects. * Familiarity with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
