You will contribute by conducting consultations and medical appointments, treating patients, preparing clinical documentation, disseminating medical knowledge, and implementing individual and collective disease prevention and health promotion initiatives.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
Provide clinical care to hospitalized patients, managing renal diseases across surgical, clinical, and intensive care pathways, taking all necessary measures for accurate diagnosis and treatment based on current scientific evidence;
Assume responsibility for the clinical management of patients with renal diseases, monitoring and addressing their progression and related complications;
Order diagnostic tests and interdepartmental consultations, and respond to interdepartmental consultation requests when required;
Diagnose and treat disorders of the nephro-urinary system through clinical examination and guidance on complementary tests to restore patient health;
Provide routine and frequent updates on diagnosis and treatment to patients and their families, as needed;
Refer patients to the broader health network to ensure continuity of care;
Prescribe medications and other treatments for the nephro-urinary system, including transplantation;
Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively;
Apply preventive or therapeutic medical interventions to promote patient health and well-being;
Deliver medical care in a humanized manner;
Accurately document patient information in medical records according to institutional standards and those established by the Unified Health System (SUS);
Collaborate integrally within multidisciplinary teams;
Participate in and contribute to planning daily activities and organizing clinical departments;
Uphold ethical principles throughout all professional activities;
Participate in collegiate bodies upon request, contributing to discussions and resolutions on relevant issues;
Assist in collecting data, monitoring, and achieving departmental action plan indicators and targets;
Respond to institutional requests to serve as Preceptor, Tutor, Instructor, and/or Coordinator for teaching activities;
Participate alongside multidisciplinary teams in meetings, committees, health surveillance programs, biosafety, hospital epidemiology, and accident prevention initiatives, contributing as appropriate within one’s scope of competence;
Support hospital coordinators on matters related to one’s area of expertise, proposing and discussing solutions to problems and irregularities to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement of departmental processes;
Participate in developing and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), applying them in daily practice;
Participate in or facilitate Permanent Education activities as required, in accordance with institutional policy and within one’s scope of responsibilities;
Ensure proper care and maintenance of materials and equipment under one’s responsibility to extend their operational lifespan;
Perform duties observing occupational safety requirements, correctly using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all tasks, complying with applicable legislation and institutional regulations;
Support immediate supervisors on matters related to one’s area of expertise, proposing and discussing solutions to problems and irregularities to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement of departmental processes;
Carry out other related duties of equivalent complexity upon request by the immediate supervisor.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
1 – Specialist Qualification Registration (RQE) issued by the Regional Medical Council as a Nephrologist, or proof of application for such registration;
**OR**
2 – Certificate and/or declaration confirming completion of Medical Residency in Nephrology accredited by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) ***OR*** Specialist Title or certificate confirming completion of Nephrology specialization accredited by the Brazilian Society of Nephrology (SBN).
**Additional Information**
Work schedule: To be defined with the department manager, according to shift availability;
Monthly salary for a 120-hour workload (24 hours/week): R$ 10.911,30;

#### **Our Infrastructure**
The Metropolitan Hospital Dr. Célio de Castro (HMDCC) occupies a built area of 46,000 m², with 13 floors and a helipad. It has 460 beds—including 80 ICU beds—and 16 operating rooms.
HMDCC specializes in urgent and emergency clinical, surgical, and stroke care, with regulated and referral-based admissions coordinated by the Belo Horizonte Municipal Health Secretariat’s Hospital Admission Center.
We also serve as a reference for the Belo Horizonte SUS network and for Minas Gerais in high-complexity care across the following specialties: internal medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, and urology.
Annually, we perform over 16,000 hospitalizations, 8,000 surgeries, 100,000 imaging exams, and 820,000 laboratory tests.
