Job Summary: The Senior AV Operator will serve as the technical reference and production leader for large-scale, highly complex events, defining the technical architecture and ensuring audiovisual excellence. Serving as the final escalation point for critical technical failures We are seeking a **Senior AV Operator** to serve as the technical reference and production leader for large-scale, highly complex events. This professional will be responsible for defining the technical architecture of productions, structuring audio and video signal flows, ensuring system redundancy, and guaranteeing technical excellence across all event phases — from planning through execution. They will also serve as the primary technical support point for operational teams during in-person, hybrid, and live broadcast events. **Responsibilities:** **Technical Leadership (Chief Operator)** * Serve as technical leader on stage or in the control room, coordinating and supervising **Junior and Mid-level** operators during event setup, operation, and teardown. **Production Architecture** * Design and size the technical architecture for complex live events, including: hybrid events multiple stages productions with broadcast and redundancy * Define signal routing, AV infrastructure topology, and the optimal technological solution for each production. **Critical Incident Resolution (Level 3\)** * Serve as the final escalation point for critical or systemic failures, resolving complex issues in real time during operations. **Innovation and Technological Advancement** * Research, test, and implement new technologies and workflows, including solutions for: media servers tracking systems AV\-over\-IP **Technical Vendor Management** * Support the selection and technical management of equipment and specialized service vendors, ensuring alignment with production technical requirements. **Requirements:** **Experience** * Minimum of **5 years of proven experience** in audiovisual production, large-scale live events, or broadcast operations. **Technical Knowledge** * Proficiency in audio and video signal architecture and routing. * Experience with audiovisual networking protocols such as: **Dante** **NDI** * Advanced operation of broadcast-grade digital audio consoles and video switchers. **Streaming and Production** * Advanced experience operating and customizing production and streaming software, such as: **vMix** **OBS Studio** or similar. **Autonomy** * Full autonomy to make strategic technical decisions and coordinate AV operations during events. **Education** * Completed bachelor’s degree in fields such as: Audiovisual Production Radio and Television Social Communication or related disciplines. **Certifications (Preferred)** Technical certifications or advanced training in industry technologies and manufacturers, such as: * **Q\-SYS** * **Blackmagic Design** * AV networking certifications (e.g., Dante) * Videoconferencing and broadcast system certifications **Languages** **English – Intermediate to Advanced (preferred)** Required for: * reading and interpreting technical riders * supporting international equipment * interacting with foreign clients or participants **Spanish \-** considered a plus. ### **Employment Type:** CLT ### **Department:** Corporate
