Job Summary: Develop programs for CNC machines, including lathes, machining centers, and sliding-head lathes, ensuring optimization of machining processes. Key Highlights: 1. Develop programs for various CNC machines 2. Perform program testing and adjustments on the machine 3. Work on continuous improvement of processes CNC Programmer \- Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications. • Develop programs for computer numerical control (CNC) machines, including CNC lathes, machining centers, and sliding-head lathes. • Select cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters such as speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. • Simulate and validate programs prior to production. * Perform program testing and adjustments on the machine. • Provide technical support to CNC operators and setup personnel. • Correct errors and update programs when necessary. • Collaborate with engineering, planning and production control, quality, and production departments on continuous process improvement. Must have completed a CNC programming course. • Must possess knowledge of technical drawing reading and interpretation. • Must possess knowledge of metrology. • Must possess knowledge of machining processes. * Must possess knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi. • Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
