Job Summary: We are seeking an Occupational Safety Technician to work directly on construction sites, focusing on prevention, team guidance, and effective management of occupational health and safety (OHS) routines. Pedro Adams Filho, 6520 – Centro, **Novo Hamburgo** **Employment Type:** CLT **Salary:** R$ 3\.000,00 to R$ 3\.999,00 **Benefits:** VA \+ VR \+ VT **About the Position** We seek an Occupational Safety Technician for direct on-site work, emphasizing prevention, team guidance, and effective management of OHS routines. This is an operational, on-site role that ensures construction progresses safely, orderly, and responsibly. Here, safety is not paperwork—it’s routine. **Main Responsibilities** * Monitor construction activities, identify hazards, and propose preventive measures. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal procedures. * Conduct daily safety talks (DDS) with teams. * Guide employees and third-party workers on correct use of PPE and collective protective equipment (CPE). * Manage distribution, usage, and replenishment of PPE. * Inspect work fronts, scaffolding, excavations, machinery, and equipment. * Support development, implementation, and monitoring of Risk Management Plan (PGR), Occupational Health Program (PCMSO), and Hazard Analysis Reports (APRs). * Monitor and document incidents, deviations, and near-misses. * Collaborate with engineering and site supervisors to immediately rectify hazards. * Support inspections, audits, and interactions with regulatory authorities when required. **Challenges of the Role** * Work on ongoing construction projects with multiple concurrent work fronts. * Ensure daily team adherence to safety standards. * Intervene firmly when necessary while maintaining open dialogue. * Act swiftly to correct deviations and prevent accidents. **Expected Profile** * Technical qualification in Occupational Safety, with active registration. * Practical experience on civil construction sites. * Proactive, attentive, and organized demeanor. * Strong communication skills and firm presence on-site. * Ability to act preventively and in real time. **Desired Experience** * Experience on medium- or large-scale construction projects. * Experience with renovation projects or occupied environments (a plus). * Experience integrating safety practices and delivering basic safety training.
