PROFILE ROLL FORMING MACHINE OPERATOR

Description

Responsible for changing, preparing, and operating the profile roll forming machine to shape steel and aluminum profiles used in the manufacture of metal window and door frames. Performs reading and interpretation of drawings and measurements. * Receives daily production instructions, ensuring productivity and quality targets are met during task execution. Receives the production report to identify the profile to be manufactured, then applies the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and verifies the tooling number to be used. * Inspects machine conditions prior to operation: hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems in general, decoiler, cylindrical tooling, and cutting/punching tooling. * Lubricates profile roll forming machines according to the manufacturer's predefined checklist at designated points; lubricates cutting and punching tools as needed or per the manufacturer's recommendations. * Operates lifting equipment (overhead crane), when required, to feed these machines. * Controls the quality of metal sheets and profiles by reading and interpreting drawings and using measuring instruments. Verifies the produced profile against standard procedures and discards non-conforming items. * Completes documentation related to product identification and quality, including identification cards, downtime logs, and CEP (Statistical Process Control) records. * Conducts verification, replacement, and adjustment of tools as necessary. * Replaces the shaping rollers on the roll forming machine currently in operation, in accordance with production requirements or the Manufacturing Order. * Proposes tooling improvements to reduce setup time and increase productivity. * Upon receiving materials from the Processing Department, verifies dimensions and measurements before initiating the roll forming process. * Requests that scrap be placed in the designated container after completing profile reconciliation, weighing, and verifying the scale ticket. Subsequently, this ticket must be forwarded to the Production Planning and Control (PPC) Department. * In case of product issues, immediately notifies the department supervisor to initiate a Non-Conformance Report (NCR). * Organizes the workplace in compliance with technical, quality, safety, and environmental protection standards and procedures.
