Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of facilities, electrical equipment, and building systems, performing repairs and following operational procedures. Key Highlights: 1. Assist in the maintenance of facilities and electrical equipment. 2. Perform preventive and corrective building maintenance. 3. Carry out plumbing maintenance and follow operational procedures. **Job Responsibilities:** * Assist in maintaining facilities, appliances, and electrical equipment, guided by blueprints, schematics, instructions, and other documents, and perform minor repairs to meet building maintenance requirements. * Assist in preventive and corrective building maintenance, as well as mechanical and electrical maintenance of laboratory technical equipment. * Assist in building maintenance related to laboratory internal construction and renovation projects. * Perform general plumbing maintenance, repairing or replacing water tanks, showerheads, floor drains, valves, and faucets as needed. * Complete scheduled service orders by filling out the designated form. * Request purchase of necessary parts and components from the immediate supervisor. * Perform tasks in accordance with operational procedures and stay updated on departmental procedures and processes to support continuous improvement. * Perform related duties as directed by the immediate supervisor. **Prerequisites:** * Completed technical course in Electromechanics or Electrical Engineering. * Basic computer skills (Intermediate Excel proficiency is considered an advantage). * Must reside in Currais Novos/RN.
