POSITION 2: Firefighter Contract Management and Emergency Response **Description:** POSITION 1 \- FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND MINING ENGINEERING STUDENTSThe Operational Environment Coordination is responsible for implementing and monitoring environmental management across Vale's operations, ensuring compliance with certifications such as ISO 14001\. Activities include field inspections, water resource monitoring, environmental risk management, and rehabilitation of impacted areas. The team also manages non-conformance control systems to ensure corrective and preventive actions, and generates environmental indicators and reports that guide continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.Additionally, the area focuses on fulfilling environmental conditions and applying preventive solutions to minimize socio-environmental impacts. With strong technological support and an integrated approach, the coordination reinforces the company's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility in its operations.POSITION 2 \- FOR CIVIL, PRODUCTION, AND MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTSEmergency Area: Daily activities focus on managing civilian firefighter contracts, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards. Furthermore, it leads emergency responses—including fires, hazardous material spills, and accidents—mobilizing appropriate resources to mitigate operational risks and protect workers and communities. Periodic inspections and audits of safety equipment are also part of the responsibilities, ensuring all operations comply with established regulations.Another essential activity is planning and implementing training programs for emergency brigades, aiming to prepare teams for crisis scenarios. It oversees the updating of emergency plans and conducts risk management to prevent incidents, adopting a proactive approach.
