Description

Receive, verify, sort, label, and store goods in the designated area, checking volume, weight, cubic capacity, integrity, and documentation of the cargo. Load and unload vehicles, adhering to labeling, delivery note (romaneio), and manifest procedures. Operate loading and unloading equipment. Assist in cleaning and maintaining the workplace. * Ensure vehicles depart on schedule; * Instruct the assistant on cargo loading and unloading; * Verify invoices and authorize issuance of the electronic cargo transport document (CTE); * Check pallet strapping; * Issue weighing labels; * Verify origin, destination, and condition of goods and assist with weighing; * Inspect packages showing signs of tampering or loss; * Identify and label goods; * Verify cargo integrity prior to loading; * Assist in loading delivery and transfer vehicles; * Report any irregularities—such as loss, damage, or tampering—to the operational supervisor and lead cargo checker; * Assist drivers with deliveries and pickups of goods, if necessary; * Provide customer service—during delivery, pickup, and collection of goods; * Distribute cargo weight according to the legal limit for each vehicle; * Seal the transfer vehicle after verified loading; * Check the truck’s seal; * Remove seals from transfer vehicles; * Organize loading and unloading areas; * Keep the workplace and equipment clean.
