GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The main purpose of this position is to provide occasional services as required by the service post. To monitor premises, public and private areas with the purpose of preventing, controlling, and combating irregularities. To ensure the safety of people, property, and compliance with laws and regulations. To receive and control the movement of people in open and restricted access areas. To inspect people, cargo, and property, and escort individuals and goods. SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES: This position has the same responsibilities as a security guard role, but is called with advance notice and has 24 hours to confirm acceptance or refusal of the assignment. Report incidents occurred during the surveillance period to immediate supervisor. Control the movement and presence of people, vehicles, and material assets as a security measure, performing identification and registration when required. Conduct systematic patrols and inspections of company premises to prevent fires, thefts, unauthorized access, and other abnormalities. Record incidents and actions taken during the shift in the incident logbook, informing the immediate supervisor and enabling decision-making to correct identified irregularities. Perform systematic inspections and rounds throughout all service post facilities, preventing situations that could endanger the integrity of the building, equipment, and the safety of staff and users. Occasionally, if requested, perform basic cleaning of weapons used at the service post. This position does not require supervision of employees.
