




Job Summary: Provide speech-language pathology evaluation and assistance, conduct habilitation and rehabilitation therapies for communication, voice, speech, and swallowing, and participate in teaching and research. Key Highlights: 1. Evaluate and assist patients with speech-language pathology needs 2. Conduct therapies to improve language, voice, speech, and swallowing 3. Participate in teaching, research, and administrative activities Evaluate the patient upon admission within 24 business hours and determine appropriate dietary consistency, if feasible. Assess communication abilities, speech, voice, and orofacial muscle integrity. Assist all patients with any speech-language pathology needs according to internal scheduling. Conduct therapies (habilitation and rehabilitation) to improve speech-language pathology aspects of oral and written language, voice, fluency, articulation, speech, and orofacial, cervical, and swallowing myofunctional systems, as applicable. Participate in admission workshops and facilitate care transition for patients and their families. Perform teaching, research, and administrative duties specific to the position. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology; * Active professional registration with the Regional Council of Speech-Language Pathology; * Prior experience in this role; * Postgraduate training in hospital settings and/or Hospital Residency in this field is desirable.
