The position requires availability to reside at or work on a shift basis at the rural unit, with competitive compensation and attractive benefits. **Main Responsibilities:** * Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities of the beef cattle unit, including herd management, feeding, animal health, and slaughter, aiming to maximize productivity and profitability. * Manage and motivate subordinate staff, promoting a safe and collaborative work environment. This includes direct supervision of the Coordinator, Administrative Assistants, and Kitchen Staff, with a focus on professional development and conflict resolution. * Prepare annual budgets, monitor operational costs (such as inputs, labor, and maintenance), and analyze performance indicators to optimize resources and reduce waste. * Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, animal welfare requirements, and sustainable practices, including environmental management and biosecurity. * Conduct regular field inspections, analyze production data (e.g., weight gain, birth rate), and implement technological improvements, such as using livestock management software or innovations in nutrition. * Identify and mitigate operational risks, such as epidemics, climate variations, or equipment failures, by developing contingency plans. * Prepare periodic reports for senior management, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic recommendations. Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Agronomy, or related fields. Postgraduate studies or specializations in agricultural management will be considered a plus. * Minimum of 5 years in leadership roles within beef cattle operations, with proven expertise in cattle herd management. * Advanced knowledge of agricultural technologies, animal nutrition, and sustainable practices. * Strong leadership, communication skills, data analysis ability, proactivity, and resilience to work in challenging rural environments. * Availability to reside at the unit or work on a shift basis.
