Requirements: We seek a Senior Analyst who is hands\-on with SQL and Python and enjoys developing people. You will lead a team of 2 data analysts, responsible for defining standards, reviewing deliverables, conducting pair programming, and ensuring the team’s technical excellence—always with your hands on the code. We want someone who writes SQL daily while teaching the team to think about performance, readability, and scalability. **Your Responsibilities:** * Lead the BI team by providing technical guidance, reviewing code, and facilitating practical learning sessions. * Write and optimize complex SQL queries in MySQL 8 (core) and PostgreSQL (new services). * Be responsible for critical traffic and product attribution logic, directly impacting revenue and strategic decisions. * Guide data modeling and structuring decisions, ensuring consistency across dashboards, processes, and analytical layers. * Establish best practices for SQL and relational modeling, promoting long-term consistency and quality. * Conduct pair programming and code reviews, teaching hands-on and elevating the team’s technical level. * Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure business decisions are accurately reflected in the data. * Present weekly and monthly KPIs clearly and accessibly, ensuring the entire team stays informed about performance and results. **Required Qualifications:** **Mandatory:** * 5\+ years of production SQL experience in systems handling critical or financial data. * Deep expertise in indexes, execution plans, partitioning, and query optimization. * Solid experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL in production environments. * Proven ability to mentor and teach—you will be the team’s technical reference. * Experience with collaborative Git workflows (branches, pull requests, script review and versioning). * Consistent knowledge of relational data modeling and ensuring cross-layer consistency. **Nice-to-Have:** * Prior experience in technical leadership of data teams. * Intermediate or higher English proficiency for reading documentation and collaborating with other teams. * Familiarity with data versioning and deployment tools (e.g., dbt, Liquibase, Flyway). * Experience with monitoring and auditing critical data. * Experience in collaborative, agile environments focused on continuous improvement. * Active participation in technical communities for SQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
