The Forklift Operator is the professional responsible for handling and operating forklifts to move, transport, load, and unload materials in warehouses, distribution centers, factories, and other areas requiring goods organization. The primary objective is to ensure products are transported safely and stored efficiently, complying with occupational safety regulations and preserving product integrity. Responsibilities: Operate forklifts (electric retractable) to move loads within the workplace. Perform loading and unloading of goods, ensuring correct positioning for storage or transportation. Maintain product organization and proper stacking according to safety specifications. Inspect and perform basic preventive maintenance on forklifts, checking oil, water, fuel levels, and other safety items. Complete merchandise movement reports, identifying products and updating inventory. Ensure proper equipment operation and report any repair or maintenance needs. Follow safety regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Requirements: Valid Forklift Operator certification. Completed high school education (in some companies, only elementary education may be required). Basic knowledge of cargo handling and safety practices. Prior experience as a forklift operator is a plus. Skills in attention to detail, precision, and teamwork. Desired Qualities: Responsibility and commitment to adhering to safety rules. Strong organizational sense and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure, especially in high-traffic environments. Ease in following strict procedures and protocols.
