Mechanic II **Date:** May 13, 2026 **Location:** Rio de Janeiro, BR **Company:** Ternium **Job Description:** **Main Responsibilities – Mechanic III | Tire Shop** Perform **tire mounting and dismounting**, including installation, removal, and **inflation** on mobile equipment (Trucks, trailers, Off-Highway Trucks, Loaders, Excavators, MPW, SPC, Forklifts). Carry out **maintenance and inspection of the wheel assembly** on mobile equipment, identifying wear, failures, and replacement needs. Conduct **technical inspections of the wheel assembly**, ensuring safe operating conditions. Comply with and promote standards and procedures related to **Safety, Environment, Occupational Health, and Compliance**, safeguarding individual and collective safety. Perform **cold vulcanization on tires**. Read and interpret **mechanical drawings**. Use **measuring instruments** for diagnostic and dimensional control. Carry out **minor mechanical repairs**. Operate **mobile equipment**, such as aerial work platforms, overhead cranes, maintenance hoists, and forklifts. Perform **preventive and corrective maintenance** on mobile equipment and stationary equipment (tire changers). Record activities in the **Maintenance Management System (SAP)**, including creation, time allocation, and closure of maintenance orders. Carry out **assembly and installation of small-scale mechanical equipment**, and support large-scale assemblies. Maintain **hydraulic and pneumatic systems**. Inspect equipment and **support root cause analysis** of failures. Commission assembly and installation of small-scale mechanical equipment. Supervise activities performed by **contracted companies**. Support **continuous improvement projects**. Identify and request review of **assets, spare parts, maintenance plans, and procedures** in SAP. Conduct **field surveys** and prepare sketches. Perform **hydrostatic and pneumatic tests**. Operate **small-, medium-, and large-capacity hydraulic and pneumatic presses**. Operate tire changers. Use **rotary, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools** (grinders, grinders, screwdrivers, jacks, torque wrenches, among others). Use **induction heaters**. Perform **mechanical adjustments** on small-, medium-, and large-scale equipment. Actively contribute to the **5S methodology** (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).**Prerequisites:** Completed High School education. Valid Driver's License Category B. Completed vocational training course in mechanics. Experience in the described activities. Availability to work rotating shifts.
