Benthic is looking to add a highly diligent and meticulous Geotechnical Engineer to the team. The Geotechnical Engineer's mission is to develop, implement, and improve processes and methodologies, ensuring technical quality, operational safety, and compliance with internal company standards, technical norms, and client requirements. To act as a technical reference, supporting the team, promoting and encouraging innovation and excellence in the Laboratory. The successful candidate will be based in the Rio de Janeiro area. Duties - Receive, package, and handle soil samples appropriately - Perform laboratory tests and all associated activities necessary for the tests to take place - Tests calculation - Reporting - Maintain updated test and sample controls - Develop and/or update technical test procedures - Perform maintenance on geotechnical equipment - Monitor companies that perform instrumentation calibrations on the equipment - Perform administrative tasks as needed Required - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering - Master's degree or currently pursuing a master's degree in Geotechnics is desirable - Knowledge of programming is desirable - Good communication - Teamwork - Knowledge of Office package Location Rio de Janeiro Work Country Brazil
