Responsible for supervising or carrying out the maintenance and operation of all equipment and systems in the engine room under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent, and being proactive in maintaining a high standard of maintenance and operation, ensuring they are technically executed efficiently according to schedules, MODEC procedures, maintenance philosophy, regulations, and national and international standards, contributing to ensuring all equipment and systems remain operational and preserved for the designated unit **Responsibilities and duties** MODEC is seeking a professional to work as an **Engine Room Supervisor** in an Offshore opportunity. To develop activities such as: * Assist, coordinate and carry out maintenance activities so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, and all instrument / control systems under Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent guidelines; * Perform regular rounds, check areas of machinery and all equipment on engine room, main deck / topsides, repair any defects and report (Root Cause Analysis) as required. Assist in other tasks as requested by the Maintenance Superintendent; * Ensure proper watch keeping and monitoring of all equipment and rapid response to alarms and shutdowns of equipment; Supervise oiler / roustabout, and other team members when carrying out maintenance activities, including machinery and equipment related to the Maintenance and Catering Departments, and emergency equipment.
